Juan Gabriel Magni discovered dancing late in life. He lived for a year in Argentina where the local scene and culture inspired him to dance socially. On his return to the States he began taking salsa and flamenco classes before finding tango.

As a poet and athlete the transition to being fully immersed in tango has been challenging. He currently trains under Carlos Barrionuevo and Mayte Valdes with his partner, Romina Rodriguez-Crosta.

Gabriel and his partner recently competed in the Southern California Tango competition where they placed second in the stage category.

Romina is a cross-disciplinary performance artist currently based in Los Angeles. Her background is varied and her interests focus on the intersections between worlds, cultures and ideologies.

Professionally, she received her early training in ballet and modern techniques from Karyl Noily and Candy Sherwin in Los Angeles, before earning her BA in dance at the Five Colleges and completing her professional development at the Alvin Ailey School.
