Originally performed at St. Felix in October 2024 for Stripper Co-op 3 3-year anniversary Halloween show with St. Aramis as the sexy Astronaut. This performance was dedicated and inspired by Jerri Allyn and the work she did with the Waitresses who were founded by Jerri Allyn and Anne Gauldin in 1977. The Waitresses revolved around the exploration of the unity seen within the work waitresses around the world perform. The group focused on four themes: work, money, sexual harassment, and stereotypes of women. It also incorporates my experience as a sex worker for 18 years.
This second iteration was performed at Human Resources for Page Person's Person 2 Person hurricane relief fundraiser on October 30, 2024.
The music is a mix of Patrick Cowley Mutant Man, a clip from the 1995 film Showgirls, Donna Summer She Works Hard for the Money, and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult The Devil Does Drugs.
