Boundaries

2016

Paper, tape, acrylic chair, wood box, ink

A performance during the downtown Los Angeles art walk benefit art show to raise money for One Billion Rising for sex trafficking victims. I use a similar format to my confession series work in which this performance I ask participants to "tell me a way in which your boundaries were crossed". This brought people to share a variety of painful storiesup many of which were violations of sexual boundaries. I thank all of those vulnerable people who participated and shared their stories with me and opened a dialog with the rest of the by standers. I hope you feel less alone with your experiences.
