I did various forms of sex work from 2005-2022. I learned a lot about myself, developed boundaries, and worked through oceans of grief. I’ve kept almost every pair of shoes I’ve danced in over the years and have begun to document them through photographs, paintings, and these drypoint prints. Each title is the year I worked in the shoes.

Drypoint is a printmaking technique of the intaglio family, in which an image is incised into a plate (or "matrix") with a hard-pointed "needle" of sharp metal or diamond point. In principle, the method is practically identical to engraving.
